IT Development — a course for ages 12–17IT Development is a programme for teenagers aged 12–17. Students move from HTML and CSS to JavaScript and Python, build websites, Telegram bots and database-backed services, and assemble a project portfolio.The program leads from a first website and a first bot to a service with a database, React and AI. Every module produces a working project.

Who it is for: Teenagers aged 12–17

Prerequisites: No programming knowledge required: the first lines of code are written in the introductory lessons.

Format: In person, in an equipped branch classroom, groups of 10–15. A lesson is 60 minutes, three times a week. The school provides computers and software.

Duration: Up to 24 months in three-month modules. The base cycle is the first three modules (9 months).

Modules

Months 1–3 — Frontend: the first website: Their own responsive website, published on the SPACE profile.

Months 4–6 — Python and Telegram bots: A working Telegram bot with several commands.

Months 7–9 — Databases, React and AI: A final project with a database, presented at Demo Day.

Modules 4–8 (months 10–24): specialist tracks: Front-End PRO, Back-End PRO, Mobile. The order of modules is confirmed with the branch administrator.

Learning outcomes

Builds a responsive website from scratch: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Writes Python and runs their own Telegram bot on a server.

Works with a database through SQL and connects a backend to it.

Works in a team with Git and code review; adds AI to a project and can explain every line.

How progress is assessed

Homework continues the lesson’s project and has 3–5 checkable criteria. The mentor checks it before the next lesson.

XP and levels in SPACE are a map of the child’s growth: what they made and learned. They are not a prize for a grade.

At the end of a module the child presents their project to the group.

Final project and Demo DayThe third module of the base cycle ends with a project presentation at Demo Day: the child explains what they built and how it works.What a parent sees
