AI Kids — a course for ages 7–11AI Kids is a course for ages 7–11. Children learn visual and text-based programming and robotics, and build their own games. Groups of 10–15 students, programmes lasting up to 24 months.The program takes a child from the screen to real devices: visual programming, robots, electronics. Every module produces something they built themselves.

Who it is for: Children aged 7–11

Prerequisites: None. The first module starts with basic work on a computer.

Format: In person, in an equipped branch classroom, groups of 10–15. A lesson is 60 minutes, three times a week; some groups meet on Sundays instead. The school provides computers, robots and electronics kits.

Duration: Up to 24 months in three-month modules. The base cycle is the first three modules (9 months).

Modules

Months 1–3 — Getting to know IT and Scratch: Their own mini-game, published on the SPACE profile.

Months 4–6 — Robotics: An assembled robot that completes the course; presented to the group.

Months 7–9 — Arduino and smart devices: A working smart device, presented at Demo Day.

Modules 4–8 (months 10–24): specialist tracks: Roblox, Unity. The order of modules is confirmed with the branch administrator.

Learning outcomes

Builds their own game in Scratch and explains why it works.

Works with algorithms, conditionals, loops and variables.

Assembles a robot, connects sensors and programs it.

Writes a first piece of C++ code for Arduino.

How progress is assessed

Homework continues the lesson’s project and has 3–5 checkable criteria. The mentor checks it before the next lesson.

XP and levels in SPACE are a map of the child’s growth: what they made and learned. They are not a prize for a grade.

At the end of a module the child presents their project to the group.

Final project and Demo DayThe third module of the base cycle ends with a project presentation at Demo Day: the child explains what they built and how it works.What a parent sees
